Meet the talented people who bring it all together…

Chuck Winchester's career in construction began as a teenager working in his father's grading business, where he gained hands-on experience across the building trades. After college and nearly two decades leading a manufacturing company he founded, Chuck returned to his first passion in the early 2000s: building custom homes.

For more than 20 years, Chuck has specialized in luxury and custom residential construction throughout the southeast Charlotte region, including Western Union County, South Mecklenburg County, and Lancaster County, South Carolina. His reputation rests on quality craftsmanship, integrity, and a commitment to the building experience.

Outside of work, Chuck enjoys time with his wife, Carol, their dog, Fletcher, their three adult children and seven grandchildren.

Growing up on a farm in Missouri, Jim learned early the value of hard work, responsibility, and taking pride in a job well done. Those values have stayed with him throughout a career that has taken a few interesting turns—from serving as a pastor to working in retail and eventually building a successful home improvement business.

After 17 years in the home improvement industry, Jim was presented with a new opportunity by his friend and neighbor, Chuck Winchester, to join the Providence Custom Builders team. As Production Manager, Jim brings years of hands-on experience, practical knowledge, and a steady approach to overseeing the building process.

For Jim, one of the best parts of Providence Custom Builders is the camaraderie among the team. He appreciates working alongside people who genuinely enjoy what they do and share a commitment to building exceptional homes and creating a positive experience for their clients.

Outside of work, Jim enjoys the quieter things in life—especially peaceful morning walks and time spent with his family. He and his wife, Elizabeth, are proud parents of three young adult daughters, and spending time together remains one of his greatest joys.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Katie has called the Charlotte area home for nearly 30 years. Her journey with Providence Custom Builders began when she and her husband, Lane, engaged the firm to build a multi-generational home for their family. Katie’s exceptional engagement, attention to detail, and natural talent for custom home design quickly became evident throughout the project.

Recognizing her strong aptitude for the complexities of high-end residential construction and client collaboration, Chuck invited her to join the PCB team. She enthusiastically accepted, drawn by her genuine passion for the building process and the rewarding partnerships formed with vendors, contractors, and the PCB team.

As a busy mother of three daughters, ranging from middle school to college, Katie brings that same multitasking energy and dedicated work ethic to our team. She is passionate about assisting our clients and excels at managing the intricate details required to bring their vision of a dream home to life.

Christopher joined the Providence team in 2022 and works closely with Chuck to coordinate building projects and gather essential materials. His expertise in project management ensures our custom builds stay on track and well-supplied.

Christopher’s connection to our work is personal as well as professional; Chuck recently completed construction on Christopher’s new home. Having experienced our building process firsthand as a homeowner, Christopher may be a bit biased, but he claims to be extremely satisfied and absolutely loves the final result!

Outside of the office, Christopher enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children.

LeAnne’s connection with Providence Custom Builders goes back many years, having known founder Chuck Winchester since she was just 16 years old. She previously worked alongside Chuck at Precision Embroidery for 13 years before stepping away to focus on raising and homeschooling her three children.

When the opportunity arose to work with Chuck again, LeAnne was delighted to join the Providence Custom Builders team as Bookkeeper in April 2019. Her longstanding relationship with Chuck and dedication to the team make her a valued part of the PCB family.

Outside of work, LeAnne’s greatest joy is spending time with her nine grandchildren. She also loves cooking, tending to her flowers, and growing vegetables in her garden.
