Charles “Chuck” Winchester's passion for construction began at an early age. As a teenager, he worked in his father's grading business and gained hands-on experience across multiple building trades. Although his original goal was to obtain his contractor's license as soon as he was eligible, college and the economic challenges of the 1980 recession temporarily redirected his path.

During that time, Chuck founded and successfully operated a manufacturing company for nearly two decades. However, his passion for building never faded. In the early 2000s, he returned to the construction industry and pursued his lifelong dream of creating custom homes.

For more than 25 years, Chuck has specialized in luxury and custom residential construction throughout the Southeast Charlotte region. His portfolio includes homes across Western Union County and South Mecklenburg County in North Carolina, as well as Lancaster County, South Carolina. His reputation is built on quality craftsmanship, integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.

When he's not building homes, Chuck enjoys spending time with his wife, Carol, and their energetic dog, Fletcher. Together, they are embracing the joys of empty-nest life while cheering on their three children as they build successful careers and grow their own families.

Christopher joined the Providence team in 2022 and works closely with Chuck to coordinate building projects and gather essential materials. His expertise in project management ensures our custom builds stay on track and well-supplied.

Christopher’s connection to our work is personal as well as professional; Chuck recently completed construction on Christopher’s new home. Having experienced our building process firsthand as a homeowner, Christopher may be a bit biased, but he claims to be extremely satisfied and absolutely loves the final result!

Outside of the office, Christopher enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Katie has called the Charlotte area home for nearly 30 years. Her journey with Providence Custom Builders began when she and her husband, Lane, engaged the firm to build a multi-generational home for their family. Katie’s exceptional engagement, attention to detail, and natural talent for custom home design quickly became evident throughout the project.

Recognizing her strong aptitude for the complexities of high-end residential construction and client collaboration, Chuck invited her to join the Providence Custom Builders team. She enthusiastically accepted, drawn by her genuine passion for the building process and the rewarding partnerships formed with vendors, contractors, and the PCB team.

As a busy mother of three daughters—ranging from middle school to college—Katie brings that same multitasking energy and dedicated work ethic to our team. She is passionate about assisting our clients and excels at managing the intricate details required to bring their vision of a dream home to life.
